This prayer card is made in Italy and laminated to last for years. On the front is an image of Saint Michael the Archangel and on the back is the prayer to St. Michael the Archangel. This prayer was added to the end of every Mass in 1886 by Pope Leo XIII. Although the obligation of saying this prayer at the end of every Mass ended in 1965, it was still recommended by Saint Pope John Paul II in 1994 and is recited in some parishes.
Prayer on the back:
Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel
St. Michael the Archangel,
Defend us in battle,
Be our protection against the
malice and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray.
And do you,
O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the divine power,
thrust into hell Satan
and all evil spirits who prowl about the world,
seeking the ruins of souls.
Amen.
