“Advent” means “the coming;” it is a season of preparation for the birth of Jesus on Christmas day and of anticipation for His Second Coming.
The tradition of the Advent Calendar dates back to the 19th Century. It has 24 numbered flaps to be opened each day of December, and each concealing a small image and a bible verse about the coming of the Messiah to help you enter into this joyful season.
