Suffering from Dental pain? Pray for relief with this Saint Apollonia Patron Saint of Dentistry Laminated Holy Card, printed in Italy.
Saint Apollonia was a martyr of the early Church who was killed for refusing to renounce her faith. According to tradition, she underwent brutal torture involving her teeth being pulled out which is why St. Apollonia has been named the patroness of dentists. People suffering from toothache and other dental diseases often ask her intercession. Her feast day is February 9.
The front of this full-color, laminated prayer card features a classic depiction of Saint Apollonia holding the instrument of torture used during her martyrdom, and the back has a prayer asking for her intercession and healing from those suffering with dental disorders or pain.
Available in singles or in packs of 25.
Prayer on the back:
O Glorious Apollonia, patron saint of
dentistry and refuge to all those suffering
from diseases of the teeth, I consecrate
myself to thee, beseeching thee to number
me among thy clients.
Assist me by your intercession
with God in my daily work and intercede
with Him to obtain for me a happy death.
Pray that my heart like thine may be
inflamed with the love of Jesus and Mary,
through Christ our Lord. Amen
O My God, bring me safe through temptation
and strengthen me as thou didst our own
patron Apollonia, through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
