Description

Strengthen your faith in God with the St. Lucy Biography Prayer Card. One of the patron saints of virgins, St. Lucy is venerated on her feast day, December 13 by a variety of ceremonies. Spurning marriage and worldly pleasures, she vowed to remain a virgin in the tradition of St. Agatha. This caused an angry suitor to report her to the local Roman authorities, who sentenced her to be removed to a brothel and forced into prostitution. Divine intervention thwarted two attempts to kill St. Lucy until finally, her neck was pierced by a sword and she died.

Designed with an image of St. Lucy adorned with an evergreen leaf, this prayer card is best given away as baptism favors or communion favors to guide the individuals towards complete commitment to God. St. Lucy is also known as the patron saint of blindness. Offer this card together with a rosary or a crucifix to those who are blind, sick and lonely as a reminder that deep faith withstands any sorrow.

Own this St. Lucy Biography Prayer Card to spurn true Catholic faith in spite of hardships and sacrifices.
