Saint Vibiana, also known as Saint Bibiana or Saint Viviana, was a Roman virgin and martyr who lived during the 4th century. According to tradition, she endured persecution under the Roman Emperor Julian the Apostate for her refusal to renounce her faith. Vibiana faced various tortures but remained steadfast in her devotion to Christianity. Eventually, she was martyred for her beliefs. She is recognized as a symbol of faithfulness and courage in the face of adversity. The Cathedral of Saint Vibiana was built in Los Angeles in 1876 and served as the seat of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles until it was damaged by an earthquake and replaced in 2002.

The back contains a prayer to Saint Vibiana:
Dear Saint Vibiana, through your fasting and prayer you were given the grace to endure suffering and torment and the hands of your persecutors. Intercede for us, dear Saint, that we also remember that our Lord is always there to strengthen us and give us the grace to perservere. Amen.
