Miraculous Medal Of Saint Catherine Laboure

Relayed to a seemingly-ordinary nun in the 19th century, the Miraculous Medal of Saint Catherine Laboure is an ornament worn by millions of Christians in the world, not only Catholics but those who are non denominational as well. Received in a vision of the Blessed Virgin Mary, these medals take on the design shown to the saint by our Holy Mother.

Mary told Catherine, “Have a medal struck upon this model. Those who wear it will receive great graces, especially if they wear it around the neck.”  It became known as the Miraculous Medal only after so many graces and miracles were witnessed with this devotion throughout France.
