Devotion to the Child Jesus is a long-standing tradition in the Catholic faith.

The original statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague was created as a royal wedding gift to Princess Polyxenia of Lobkowitz. After the death of her husband, the princess devoted herself to works of charity and was particularly helpful to the Carmelites in Prague, to whom she later gifted the statue of the Christ Child. 


This beautiful plaster statue of the Infant of Prague, with his removable gold crown, is 12 inches tall and was imported from Italy. The left hand of the Infant encircles a miniature globe, surmounted by a cross, which signifies the world-wide kingship of Christ, while the right hand is extended in blessing.

I Own a 12 in Prague statue and Have had it For 22 yrs he is In Need Of Tender up keep and Repairs but worship it And will be proud to say it will be With Me for Many Yrs to Come

Beautiful statue made in Italy.So glad he's finally in my possession.I bought the 12" vestment and the statue comes with a glorious gold toned jeweled crown which fits nicely on the head of the statue.Worth the wait and the money. Thank you for your quality product.
