The candle represents the light of knowledge. Coming out of the darkness of sin. A sacramental used in the Church's liturgy and are an emblem of God, the giver of life and enlightenment. Being pure, they represent Christ's spotless body, the flame a figure of the Divine Nature. We use candles for a number or purposes, Advent Candles durig the advent season,votives when we pray and devotional candles to pray to saints and devotions, such as the Virgin Mary, the Divine Mercy and Jesus.
